About

The Observatory

The Far-Right Protest Observatory (FARPO) produces and houses data on protests organized by far-right groups in European countries in the last twenty years. This data includes the location, date, initiator, and motive behind each protest.

A speech by Geert Wilders is shown on screen at a Pegida rally in Dresden, Germany (2015)

Designed for students, researchers, decisionmakers, civil society organizations and journalists, this comprehensive resource helps tracking and comparing far-right protest in contemporary democracies, rigorously and consistently.

FARPO is based on data collection in the following projects

c-rex
